Vanilla slice aka custard slice. Absolutely fantastic.

I used to take the top pastry and icing layer off, eat the layer with the custard and then the layer with the icing last for that super sweet sugar rush.

Now, if they are sliced into fingers, instead of biting down and having the custard come out the sides. I turn it on it's side and then bite through, custard stays inside and I don't get custard or icing around my mouth.

We used to live in Merbein. And visited Ouyen  often. Snot blocks were part of our every day. But Vanilla Slice Day was hilarious...
